The Alligator And A Tourist

While fishing off the Florida coast, a tourist capsized his boat. Because of his fear of alligators, he was afraid to swim ashore. Clinging to the overturned boat, he saw a man standing on the shore. He yelled, “Are there any alligators around here?”

The man yelled back, “No, they haven’t been around here for years.”

Feeling safe, the tourist started swimming calmly toward shore. About halfway there, he yelled back at the man on shore. “How did you get rid of the alligators?”

“We didn’t do anything,” the man called back. “The sharks got them all.”
